Owner Mark Jose took over the business almost three years ago – bringing to Upper Hutt his more than thirty years mechanical experience. He has worked on all types of vehicles and buses including farm machinery, tractors, heavy equipment and construction machinery and power generators. Mark is also trained in the use of diagnostic scan tools and uses a Hanatech for this.
AC Automotive offers a full range of vehicle service and repair options. It is a LTNZ authorised warrant of fitness (WoF) facility and member of the Motor Trade Association (MTA). Service hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays.
Last year AC Automotive was a finalist in the 2008 Upper Hutt Excellence in Business Awards – Best Vehicle Business. It’s also one of the participants in the Gateway Project of St. Patrick’s College in Silverstream. For three years now, the school places a student-apprentice at AC Automotive for a hands-on training in automotive engineering.
Value for money and Service with a smile is how Mark and staff approach their work and they pride themselves on their honesty and integrity. Mark and his wife Julia, who works on-site in the office, offer customers the option of booking online for WoF and regular vehicle service to avail of special rates, promotions and discounts. AC Automotive is happy to attend to call-outs and provide a courtesy car when necessary. For those in the courier business, there is a courtesy van that can be used while your own van is being fixed/serviced.
